In a groundbreaking revelation for environmental science, the mineral olivine has emerged as a remarkable agent capable of sequestering up to one trillion tons of atmospheric carbon dioxide. This extraordinary green mineral is now recognized as one of the most promising eco-friendly building blocks for combating climate change on a global scale.

Magnesium olivine, in its natural capacity, represents a formidable solution to a plethora of environmental challenges, including climate change, rising sea levels, increasing ocean temperatures, ocean acidification, land degradation, and desertification. This mineral epitomizes nature’s method of converting carbon dioxide into essential nutrients for the vast tapestry of biodiversity.

The scientific journey over the past three decades, characterized by extensive research and meticulous studies conducted worldwide, has underscored olivine’s potential as a premier eco-friendly component in addressing the global carbon crisis. Albanian Minerals, a leader in mineral exploration, has identified and quantified substantial reserves of high-grade magnesium olivine globally—amounting to hundreds of billions of tons.
