Sahit Muja added that; Albanian land in Kosovo is very rich in minerals such as lignite, zinc, lead, gold, rare earths, bauxite, tin, silver, nickel, magnesium, aluminum, limestone, marble , quartz, industrial minerals, chrome ore and much more.
Kosovo possesses around 50 billion tons of lignite in reserves, one of the world’s largest lignite reserves. Kosovo, has one of the world’s largest reserves for lead, zinc, and silver. Trepça Mining was the leader in Europe in the mining of lead, zinc, silver and gold .
Over 90 percent of Albania and Kosovo natural resources remain untapped. A substantial mineral wealth that could transform its economic prospects, a great potential for future economic development in Albania, Kosovo and Europe.
Albania is home to the largest onshore oil field in Europe, also huge untapped reserves of oil and natural gas in offshore fields on Adriatic and Ionian Seas. Albania has the largest magnesium ore reserves in the world with over 10 billion tons, finest quality proven reserves.
Albania is home to the largest chrome ore reserves in Europe with the finest quality in the world. Albania has huge reserves of bauxite, copper, nickel, cobalt, iron ore, gold, chromium, antimony, coal, manganese, phosphates, tin, rare earth elements, uranium, platinum, copper, PGE, vanadium, titanium, zircon, salt, bitumen, limestone, marble industrial minerals, and much more.
Green energy potential make Albania one of the world’s most promising land for future generation. Albania has build great Hydro-power plants , securing most of the energy from green hydro. There is potential to build 2000 hydro-power plants.
Wind and solar energy sources have the greatest potential after hydro-power. Albania has huge and powerful winds from low sea levels to the Alps. Albania has some of the strongest winds in Europe in the winter.
Albania has incredible potential in solar energy. The Mediterranean country has one of the best numbers of the sunny days in the world.
